I’ve had a strong passion for interior design my entire life. Unfortunately, I dropped my Interior Design major about two weeks into my freshman year (oops) because I was too intimidated by the required art classes. I chose another passion of mine, Psychology, to major in … so you might get some real life tidbits and life lessons mixed into my posts! I do have “real life” design education from designing and decorating my own custom home from the ground up, inside and out. My passion for design led me to start an Instagram feed (www.instagram.com/carolineondesign)as a creative outlet. My feed has FAR exceeded any expectations I had for growth and/or connection with others in the design niche! Not only are my Instagram feed and blog creative outlets, they are also a place for me to hopefully offer design inspiration!
Funny story … my name is NOT Caroline! I created my Instagram handle / blog title ‘Caroline on Design’ based on my dad’s nickname for me. My formal name is Carolyn but my dad has always called me Caroline. Weird, I know! To confuse you further, I go by CARRIE and always have! I am a stay-at-home mom born and raised in the Midwest. My husband, Brad, and I have two amazing (and spunky) little girls, Ellie and Kate, and the sweetest little Miniature Goldendoodle, Lulu June.
